At the height of my teaching abroad career began the start of my passion for health and wellness. Living and traveling in Asia gave me the opportunity to experience the authentic side of Eastern medicine, holistic practices, and the necessity of wellness. After experiencing the ebbs and flow of an expat life my body was starving for an intervention and I set out on a mission to make myself whole again. Soon after, I became certified as a holistic health coach in 2016 from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Through a holistic approach and balanced lifestyle, I have managed my own personal stress and anxiety over the years. It was when I lost my brother unexpectedly in 2017 that I found myself stuck in grief. The pain you feel when you lose someone you love is immeasurable. I felt lost in the healing process. With a lot of inner work and time, I have processed the loss and worked through the emotions and grief that laid stagnant in the body..which caused physical pain in my body for quite some time. So when I first came across somatic therapy, I was immediately drawn to it. For a long time after his passing, I just didn’t talk about what was going on. I kept everything in, and my body suffered for that.
I started training for somatic therapy in November 2019 in hope to help others who have been through similar experiences. No one should have to go through their healing journey alone. I would be honored to help you through yours.
